Mastering Relics in RAID Shadow Legends: A Comprehensive Guide

RAID: Shadow Legends has introduced an exciting new feature—Relics! These powerful items provide a whole new level of customization, making your Champions even more unique. Whether you’re new to Relics or looking for tips, this guide will walk you through everything you need to know to master them.

What Are Relics?

Relics are special equipment pieces that every Champion can use, giving them both stat boosts and unique abilities. Think of them as a hybrid between Artifacts and Skills, with the potential to drastically enhance your roster’s performance.

When you navigate to a Champion in your Collection, you’ll notice a new Relics tab alongside Artifacts, Skills, and Masteries. This is where you can view, equip, and manage Relics.

How Relics Work

Stat Boosts and Unique Abilities

Each Relic provides:

  1. Stat Increases: Fixed improvements to your Champion’s performance.
  2. Unique Abilities: Special passive skills tied to the Relic that scale with its level and rank.

Relic Rarities

Relics come in four familiar rarities:

  • Rare (basic entry-level power)
  • Epic (more potent and versatile)
  • Legendary (highly impactful)
  • Mythical (top-tier power with maximum flexibility)

Higher rarity Relics feature better base stats, more powerful abilities, and additional Gemstone sockets.

Ranks and Levels

Relics have ranks (1–6 stars) just like Champions and Artifacts. Higher ranks unlock better stats and abilities. Here’s how to upgrade a Relic:

  1. Level It Up: Max out its level within its current rank.
  2. Rank It Up: Use duplicate Relics or a resource called Basalt to upgrade its rank.

Gemstones: Enhancing Relics Further

Each Relic has Gemstone sockets, with shapes like Circular, Square, Diamond, and more. These sockets determine the types of Gemstones you can equip.

  • Number of Sockets: Rare Relics have 1 socket, Epic have 2, Legendary have 3, and Mythical have 4.
  • Matching Shapes: Gemstones must match the socket’s shape.

Gemstones also come in the same rarities as Relics. When inserted, they grant passive abilities to further enhance your Champion. While Gemstones cannot be upgraded or rerolled, they can be removed with the Starstone resource.

Where to Get Relics

The primary way to obtain Relics is through Relic Crafting in the Forge. However, you’ll also get your first Relic for free upon reaching Level 30. Additional Relics may be available as rewards in events and tournaments.

Relic Crafting Materials

Crafting a Relic requires materials, which are divided into groups and rarities:

  • Groups: Current groups include Standard and Chimera, with more to be added later.
  • Rarities: Rare, Epic, Legendary, and Mythical.

Each craft requires four slots of materials (25 units per slot). The materials you use affect the group and rarity of the resulting Relic. There’s always a 50% chance of crafting a Standard Relic, but mixing higher-quality materials increases your odds of higher rarities.

Tips for Using Relics Effectively

  1. Strategic Pairing: Match Relics and Gemstones with your Champion’s strengths. For example, defensive Champions may benefit from Relics that boost HP or defense.
  2. Experiment in the Forge: Don’t hesitate to mix materials to discover unique Relics.
  3. Focus on Upgrades: Max out Relic levels and ranks to unlock their full potential.

Relics are a game-changing addition to RAID: Shadow Legends, giving you endless possibilities to customize and enhance your Champions. With their unique abilities and stat boosts, Relics can help you dominate the challenges of Teleria.

So, get crafting, start experimenting, and see how these powerful items can take your team to the next level. Happy raiding!
